I have not used it on a cold extreme weather yet but It seems like it would be perfect. Construction materials are excellent. It works perfect under raining situations. The warm liner inside it would keep you warm for the inclemencies of weather. It has a zipper and buttons closure. Size is perfect accordingly to the american sizes. The hood is zip so you can remove when not needed. This is an outstanding cold weather jacket.
